Business consultants need more affective touching

It takes more than know-how to be an effective business consultant. At the end of a 2,5 year’s program Tias Business School decides to add a new dimension. In consultancy it is key how you relate to your customer.

We were invited to affect the group emotionally. In this 3 day program we challenged a group of 20 business consultants with: "What love do you feel towards your customer? What attractiveness do you see? And how do you show appreciation? "

Steps, we followed 6 scenes in this 3 day program
- On stage as a meeting-point: participants create their own stage where they meet themselves and their colleagues different again
- The museum as workplace: an interactive meeting with (un)easy stories and constructing yourself how you feel love
- The soul as treasure keeper: a visit within ourselves to understand better what drives us (strategies and tricks)
- Dare to challenge A walk in space: choosing a desired change and offering an indecent proposal in live phone call with client
- Nature as workplace: meeting nature’s forces and emotions and nightly meditation in the forest
- Breaking ritual: with impressive rituals, participants break with old behaviors and take concrete decisions on affective behavior

Outcome

- Feeling emotions, positive and negative
- Appointments with a customer to do something together outside the business content of their relationship (indecent proposal)
- Consciousness on own emotional behavior and impact for relating with colleagues and customers
- Concrete decision and actions on ‘new’ behavior
