For thousands of years, people have been using trials and errors approach to
generating creative ideas. Despite the huge advances in technology and
sciences, we have done too little to understand and organize our creative
thinking. Why? Because we have always thought that creativity is not
possible to study. And instead of improving our creative thinking skills,
we, in fact, were pushing them away during our lifetimes. TRIZ (Theory of
Solving Inventive Problems, as abbreviated in Russian) resulted from massive
studies undertaken by those who did not believe that creativity was
impossible to understand. Their efforts were paid back: modern TRIZ really
helps people to both solve most difficult problems in their professional
areas and enhance their personal development. And innovate innovation.
